New beginnings
Apr. 1st, 2009 07:55 pmHere we are in our brand new Internet home. It's ironic, really, since up until a few days ago, we were planning to buy a new Real Life home as well. Unfortunately, that plan fell through, so we'll be staying where we are for a while longer. To make a long story short, the seller's attorney decided to play dirty, and we refused to give in to his games. With that experience behind us, we've decided to continue renting for a while, save up more money, and start the process again either at the end of 2009, or in the spring of 2010.
So that's one bit of flux we've solved, but there's more to come. I'm thinking of going back to work, if I can find something in the current economy. I've already submitted a few resumes, and am hoping to find something in the local not-for-profit sector. Mostly, I'm looking for something where I'm able to respect my employer, and feel good about what I'm doing. This is partly to get me out of the rut I've felt stuck in lately, and also partly to pay for Buggie to start attending daycare, where he can socialize with other children. We're also hoping to find a playgroup to join, to that end as well.
As for Sir Buggles himself, well... he's just into /everything/ these days! He started walking a few weeks ago now, and nothing can stop him now! He's also a climber. I should be losing my leftover babyweight easily now, just from chasing him all over the house! ;)
And not to leave O out, he's also doing well - happy but busy at work. We've finally worked it out, though, so that he gets one evening to himself every week, which he's been using for writing, for the most part.
So... that's where we are, at present. We'll be mostly using this blog to take the place of the periodic updates we were sending out by e-mail. So watch this space!
